Announcing the Dreamers Writing Farm
Retreats and Workshops in the Beautiful Bruce Peninsula
Brothers Grimm - Dreamers Writing Farm

The Dreamers Writing Farm is now OPEN! We’ve been working on opening a physical location for a long time, and after minor variances to zoning bylaws, a property survey and merging of our lots, lawyers, government officials, entrance permits, building permits, occupancy permits, builders, and building inspectors, it’s finally happened. Talk about dreams coming true!

At the Dreamers Writing Farm, we’ll be offering writing retreats, self-directed residencies, writing workshops, and general accommodations. Stay in one of 3 off-grid bunkies named after Canadian writers: Atwood Bunkie, Munro Bunkie and Wagamese Bunkie. During your stay, visit the Secret Garden in the woods, attend a healing writing workshop in the Dreamers Studio, or hang out with our Nigerian dwarf goats, the Brothers Grimm: Gus, Gunther and Griffin.

In 2019, we’re starting with half and full-day writing workshops and with general accommodations in our bunkies and in our studio (feel free to turn your stay into a self-directed residency). As we ramp up, we’ll offer week-long guided retreats and more frequent workshops.

The Dreamers Writing Farm is located in Hepworth, Ontario, Canada, just minutes from multiple Bruce Trail access points – Canada’s oldest hiking trail. It’s only 10 minutes from Sauble Beach, one of the longest freshwater beaches in Canada, and 7 minutes from Wiarton, famous for the weather predicting groundhog, Wiarton Willy. It’s also just around the corner from the Sawmill Nordic Centre where you can cross-country ski or snowshoe, down the road from a main South Bruce Peninsula ATV access point, seconds from an OFSC snowmobile trail access point, and it borders the Northern Dunes Golf Club.
