– Poetry by Siobhan Robinson –

the flames
of the fire you ignited
and abandoned me in
no longer burn me
and the smoke
doesn’t choke me
anymore
i took the hell you made
for me
and made it home
About the Author – Siobhan Robinson

My name is Siobhan Robinson, I’m 21 years old from a small town in British Columbia, Canada. I’m intrinsically motivated to write poetry as it gives me a sense of catharsis. After experiencing an abusive relationship wherein I felt silenced, my poems gave me the voice I thought I’d lost. I’ll be self publishing a book of poems based around mental health, relationships and addictions in the near future and I have an instagram account dedicated to poetry @distillxd. I hope to one day inspire someone who went through what I did, and to be their voice when they feel they’ve lost theirs, too.
